The hype around Abstract feels a bit manufactured Went from hearing nothing to multiple people messaging me about it last week. Good marketing campaign ahead of launch! That said, it’s giving me mature cycle forced rotation vibes — not really sure what *another* chain will do to onboard real audiences

Disagree imo, they’ve been talking about it for months, hype just naturally exponentiates on the week of launch The latter point may be true, just depends on their execution. All i know is team is very strong

one thing I noticed is most accounts building on abstract have a crazy amount of followers for a chain that hasn’t launched yet. Not sure what to make of it yet

Nah I don't think so Been following since it was frame chain by @cygaar and beans Pairing stacked devs with a vision + igloo execution/distribution, potent imo $pengu alone could bridge a billion TVL from Solana to Abstract day 1 Feels like farcaster was the only pocket not paying attention tbh

agreed. while one difference i’ve seen is - abstract kinda worked on their distribution before launching their onchain rails via pudgy instagram, IP etc while other chains have built the tech first and trying to figure distribution channels. so it’ll be fun to see how they’ll leverage it etc. wdyt about that?

Pudgy Penguins ecosystem has been chatting about it for months. Lots of discussion when $pengu launched in December. Mainnet finally launching tomorrow so that’s why you’re seeing a big uptick in convos & this week will be 10x that.

totally agree, any chain that's focused on marketing and attention has never outlasted building products that produce value. pfp communities are known for grifting without launching products, similar to L1/L2 ecosystems
