For distances and weight, I totally agree. Imperial is dumb. But Fahrenheit > Celsius for the human experience. It was literally invented based on human body temp. The fact that there are decimals in hotel room thermostats in Europe tells you all you need to know https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fahrenheit

1. Distance is better in metric but temperature is better in imperial. 2. Americans don't like being told what to do more than most cultures.
