Old internet culture that came from old Dungeons and Dragons culture. Woot was an expression of excitement. Their original value prop was to sell one item a day at a big discount and it was a lot of computer stuff back in the day. So it was exciting. I had an alert service for certain items.

It was 2004. It was peak internet and the beginning off buying things online. Woot was the right call.
