Old internet culture that came from old Dungeons and Dragons culture. 

Woot was an expression of excitement. Their original value prop was to sell one item a day at a big discount and it was a lot of computer stuff back in the day. So it was exciting. I had an alert service for certain items.

This just brought back so many memories. Used to check woot daily, got so much cool stuff! I still have some tshirts from there, somewhere.

@alinaferry if you were not talking about a shopping site, “woot” is an antiquated internet term synonymous with “hooray” or “woohoo”
