Just curious why they chose woot over loot bc when you get that deal you’re basically looting

Old internet culture that came from old Dungeons and Dragons culture. 

Woot was an expression of excitement. Their original value prop was to sell one item a day at a big discount and it was a lot of computer stuff back in the day. So it was exciting. I had an alert service for certain items.
