Old internet culture that came from old Dungeons and Dragons culture. Woot was an expression of excitement. Their original value prop was to sell one item a day at a big discount and it was a lot of computer stuff back in the day. So it was exciting. I had an alert service for certain items.

I mean I know what woot means - I use “woot woot” quite a lot 🙃 Just curious why they chose woot over loot bc when you get that deal you’re basically looting
