yes, i was reasonably happy with the 7 so didn't feel any need to upgrade to 8 and was relieved when i saw the complaints... but so far so good on 9! 🤞

I'd be curious to see the longevity of this one, because the Google Pixel 8 was a catastrophe when it comes to software bugs, camera lagging and just overall performance in less than a year.

i remember you casting that so am surprised how much i'm liking this one (coming from 7 which i'd thought updates on were meh)

really like the cosmetics as i really didn't like the 6 & 7 designs, for example:
- no bezel
- non rounded body, making less slippery
- flat front glass, making screen look & feel nicer

also digging default gemini on native apps like assistant and search
