british people are very humble and reticent to accept compliments pretty much the opposite of the U.S. for the most part

I totally agree!! a really funny interaction at eth denver was with @derek my husband told him he is also an athlete and derek asked him “are you good?” then my husband paused and was like “uhhh well I’ve represented Great Britain” And Derek said “ so… you’re good😂 you can just say that “

hahah love that for the record, I’ve never been to the UK whatsoever. my understanding of british culture is largely based on my analysis of Drag Race UK episodes and to a lesser extent Monty Python.
