Hard agree on the higher baseline of inflation. At the same time I wonder how this will impact the dollars role in the world. I also expect ever more financial repression in the US focused on forcing banks to hold ever greater debt. The US has manifold advantages but great policy certainly isn’t one of them.

Honestly I understand her comments. From a US perspective globalism has empowered China as a peer competitor. In terms of crypto it will only be a competitor to the US dollar if the US fails to control its debt. Otherwise it will act as an extension of US dollar power through instruments like Stablecoins.

For the love of god, can we please stop with all the different chains and having to bridge money across a thousand L2s. It’s a major UX issue and major frustration. Mint should not require bridging, can you just mint using funds from any compatible L2. Bridge once, mint anytime.

What’s interesting is that I love the Ethereum social layer but am far more convinced by alt L1s technical visions. But until we see applications that face high enough consumer demand a forced resolution is unlikely to be necessary. I really want to see more consumer or B2B apps in crypto.

Current non-spam demand for blockspace is probably 1% of the available supply across all L1s and L2s, yet the crypto world is still obsessed with L1s and L2s. Why is there not a massive push towards applications to fill said blockspace? Please make me understand why I'm wrong and what I'm missing?

Genuine question in what way is this true? I saw that social media refuted a lot of claims but given the size of the fraud do you think they wouldn’t have brought the case against him? Or do you mean the evidence on social media was critical in his conviction?

One of the tougher parts of building consumer apps is seeing dozens of L1s and L2s being valued at multibillion dollar valuations while they entirely rely on strong apps to give them tangible value. Meanwhile... the number of billion dollar+ crypto consumer apps is basically 0

Thanks 🙌🏿. I love the vibe of it. I rarely posted on X it just felt too busy. Whereas farcaster feels much more approachable. Though I don’t envy them having to maintain that vibe as they grow.

I really want to buy TIPs but the size of the US gov deficit is so high. Given I’m not American I don’t want to take the risk of dollar depreciation.
