More and more sites are waging a war against VPN usage - I recently had my bank account portal locked because they detected a VPN - I can no longer access imgur or creditkarma with a VPN turned on - Many people are reporting issues with Reddit on a VPN (not me, yet) privacy is normal

Proton's subscription level VPN is pretty good. They have a "stealth" feature in the past year that should help with being blocked. Anecdotally my friend in Bogotá used Proton too and they also traveled a lot to BsAs so I imagine it works well there too.

Nice! I think I technically already have a subscription since I pay for Protonmail, but I usually use Mullvad. I should probably install Proton's and test them against each other

I liked Mullvad a lot when I did my comparison research in 2021. They were one of the, if not the only one, that was open source at the time. The Proton Unlimited plan should have all of the VPN features.
