Today I’ll be telling the story of princess inikpi of igala kingdom Back then when human sacrifices was still done at large throughout Nigeria. Princess Inikpi was the virgin princess of the Igala Kingdom, born and raised in the ways of Ede the goddess of purity She was buried alive to save the kingdom from the doom of the Igala-Benin war as required by the gods of igala land in 1515-1516 during the rein of Ata Ayegba Oma-idoko. Her statue is still standing at her burial spot at Ega market close to river Niger in Idah, Kogi State Nigeria. Many Igala have named their daughters after her.
