Torani - an Indian designer label collaborated with actress Tamanna on a beautiful photoshoot which was inspired by the love story of lord Krishna and Radha. To me their story is all about the intensity, passion, beauty, madness and joy people experience when they fall in love with someone to the point of being devoted to them. I feel like this shoot captures it so well but sadly they had to take it down because the public didn’t want to see their gods this way. I’m working on a lore that is also inspired by the story of Shiva and Sati and I worry a little bit about the backlash I might receive but then I remember that this is the reason I’m building in web3. I have the autonomy to distribute my comics however I want to a global population. I’m very grateful to be able to do that. Anyway, here are some more shots from that photoshoot just coz I’m a huge lover of Torani, Tamannaah and Indian mythology and think that the art that came out of this shoot deserves to be out there in the world. ✨

Hey fam, would any of you be interested in collaborating with me on the comic I’m working on? I’ve been exploring platforms that are making IP sharing and cross-collaboration easier for big projects—Story Protocol, Kor, and Adimverse, to name a few. I’m really impressed with what Adimverse is doing, so I’ve decided to set up our world there. I’ll share more updates soon, but it feels good to be building again. To be honest, after launching the first comic, I felt pretty down. I wasn’t able to secure partnerships, barely anyone wanted to feature or talk about it, felt a little lost somewhere at the end and I got a lot of criticism for the platform we built. I know it wasn’t perfect, but that’s why I’m committed to continuing to improve it until we get it right. Once we’ve laid more groundwork, I’ll be back to building in public again. This Spooktober is going to be exciting for sure 🖤

NFTs are the best thing to happen to the crypto industry. The 2021 bull run was huge for a reason, NFTs brought a visual appeal with real world use cases, got brands interested, and made marketing and loyalty programs in Web3 possible. They helped onboard tons of creators on-chain, made Web3 social possible, and are still the most widely accepted use case for crypto outside of payments. I don’t get why more people aren’t building in this direction. Right now, I’m experimenting with creating comics and webtoons as NFTs. I’ve got my own platform with a token-gated reader, but I’m still looking for other options. I genuinely don’t want to put in so much effort into building the tech, I want to focus on the comics and the art. This week I built : 1. Updated my portfolio website, still not done but I love how it’s all coming together 🖤 2. Hosted a webinar on how to use web3 social media for college students. I realised how much I genuinely love building in web3. 3. Finished writing the dialogues and storyboarding the scenes for the first 3 pages of my next comic. I know it may not sound like much but it takes a lot of effort initially to find the right tones, color, mood and style when I’m just starting a new comic. All these elements tie into the storytelling style and world building. 4. Abs under construction – I told my trainer that I have this dream, I’m planning a beach vacation this Dec and I don’t want to cover my torso throughout the trip. She understood the assignment and changed up my routine and diet plan again. Now that I’ve finally reached close to my target weight, I’m going to work hard and get shredded 💪🏻

I’ve been seeing crypto bros write a lot about having “skin in the game” and equating it to having “big builder energy” so I decided to read the book on the same by Naseem Taleb. Here’s what he says about having skin in the game - it’s not about following a broken system just because you want to protect something. It’s working to make the system better for everyone, including the “intolerant minorities”.
