This belongs in /cameron 😅 I took a lil detour and found @cameron’s lil cove (I actually wrote it in my notes app so I’d remember to check it out during the weekend) … and bruhhh, when I tell you, he’s so real for this, I’m not kidding Like, painfully real… It’s one of those monologues you want to laugh at, not because it’s wrong, but because it hits too close to home. The number of times I’ve sat around, annoyed that someone “dumber than me” is absolutely thriving in their lane, not because they’re better than me, but because they stayed in the game long enough to get better… is a little embarrassing. And when he laid out the Dunning Kruger curve and was like, “dumb people live on Mount Stupid and never leave,” I almost threw my phone cause it’s so true, like offensively true 😅 The gag is: smart people get self-conscious. like… nobody says what they actually mean anymore you’re out here decoding emojis, second-guessing response times, overthinking “heyyy” vs “hey” 👀 we’re ghosting people we actually like we’re afraid to double text cause of the “standard” we’re calling it “talking stage” when we’ve already shared playlists, trauma, and kisses and so much more… it’s flirting but avoiding serious conversations it’s feeling anxious when they take too long to reply, but acting unbothered when they do 🤡 it’s “I don’t want to catch feelings” even though feelings are very obviously caught 👀 half of us want connection, the other half want control or just vibes no one wants to lose first… so we self-sabotage, keep it casual, and pretend we don’t care… until someone breaks and when they do, we call them “too much” or “it was never that deep” 🤡😮‍💨
