Farcaster got the tech right, but the Farcaster community is making very similar mistakes to Steem

tl;dr increased token incentives eventually lead a proliferation of more, vapid content that just increases token incentives (which comes with system gaming, more ponzinomics, etc.)

It can be siloed. A Polynya channel would have one set of rules and a vapid content channel another set of rules, just like real life.
