I've been wondering, what kind of premium will there be on non computer cars in the future? will they be be outlawed due to 'safety' concerns. how does everybody feel about being tracked 100% of the time.

try and find a relatively new car that doesn't already have significant "computerization", EV or not.

specific to self driving cars… non self driving cars will weed themselves out because of the insurance cost 100x more accidents in an increasing shrinking cohort? Premiums will rocket more than shib

as for the explosions, as soon as solid state car batteries are in mass production, this paranoia will be a bit more conspiratard thinking; other than the tracking and data harvesting part

I only recently upgraded to a 2023 model vehicle with wireless connectivity from a 2004 car with none, in part because of concerns about surveillance. https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/blog/privacy-nightmare-on-wheels-every-car-brand-reviewed-by-mozilla-including-ford-volkswagen-and-toyota-flunks-privacy-test/

There is a lot of talk about this in the industry atm. About getting back to less screens and tech. However the problem is often regulations and stuff that make it nearly impossible to do so.
