I've been wondering, what kind of premium will there be on non computer cars in the future? will they be be outlawed due to 'safety' concerns. how does everybody feel about being tracked 100% of the time.

try and find a relatively new car that doesn't already have significant "computerization", EV or not.

Yeah. I think there are too many pros to system optimization via computing. Real trick is to advocate for more local-first compute, securing the software supply chain, hardening comms and making all sensitive data user-owned and e2ee.

true, but have you seen a tesla or cybertruck burn? if you park this in your garage you are not gonna make it, because it'll burn down your house

my car is 20 years old lol and probably not built to last long so i'm in the makret. i wonder what the simplest, newest and least computery car is.
