09-19-2024 💚 I’ve been learning to conserve my energy at conferences and not spending it where I don’t need to. I have a lot of energy naturally but I need breaks to recharge. I’m getting better at taking breaks but it’s still a work in progress.

Yesterday night I was at a crypto event. I told a guy I was a CTO. He asked: “aren’t CTOs usually developers?” I know it’s hard to believe but girls can be developers too 🙃

Cozy corners - @dwr.eth spoke with @ted about Farcaster & where the network is going. Dan talked about how Farcaster enables cozy corners. Channels allow for these cozy corners vs. 1 unified algorithm for a platform like on Instagram. IMO /farcaster has a much warmer feel than other networks bc of cozy corners.

Excited to be at /farconasia and hear @jessepollak speak about how crypto will grow faster than the internet grew. The internet required hardware whereas crypto only requires the same computers/phones we already have.

09-16-2024 ✈️ Touchdown in Hong Kong, next stop Singapore. I had a whole row to myself and made a little bed so I got some sleep 😴 Planes never cease to amaze me with kidlike wonder - you can go to bed in one place and wake up in another. I’m so grateful to see so many places as part of my job 🥰

09-14-2024 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✈️ Wrapped up my 24 hours in Montauk with my parents, grandparents, and aunt + uncle. Heading back to the city and then packing for my flight to Singapore tomorrow AM. Operation Token 2049 is a go ✈️

09-13-2024 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family means so much to me and today I got to show it 💖 I surprised my grandparents in Montauk when they thought I was off to Asia already. You never know how much time you get with those you love & I try to take advantage of every opportunity to spend time with them 😍

09-12-2024 🍓 Strawberry is officially here! Today, OpenAI announced their new o1 model which is designed to spend more time thinking before it responds. The models can solve complex tasks that require more thought. The o1 model can code entire games from a single prompt. It enhances development speed + complexity, allowing for more dynamic gameplay experiences. Since the model thinks before responding, you could create games that adapt on the fly and interact with players in intelligent ways. I'm really excited to see where this takes gaming in the future 🎮

09-11-2024 🎮 Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how we can harness social data to drive cross-game collaboration. What if game mechanics could be influenced by social connections? For example, certain in-game boosts or features could be unlocked based on having a number of friends or interacting with your social graph. Or the game economy could change based on user behavior. This is especially relevant for decentralized games that run on their own without intervention. There is a shift coming with how users interact with games and the role they play.

09-09-2024 👥 Talking to potential users is crucial as you scale. These are the 4 most important things I’ve realized while talking to users: 1️⃣ Be curious   Ask questions and listen deeply. Users often reveal what they need by sharing their pain points or experiences. 2️⃣ Focus on value, not features  Instead of listing features, explain how your product solves their problem or improves their life. Benefits > features. 3️⃣ Don’t assume, validate It’s easy to assume you know what users want. Test your ideas in conversation. Real feedback beats assumptions. 4️⃣ Be approachable Keep the conversation relatable - don’t use jargon. Users respond more truthfully when they feel comfortable and understood. User interviews are about building trust and learning, not pitching!
