Central & McCarren parks (+ any of the smaller parks dotted throughout the city), upstate esp Hudson Valley, the Hamptons, the Poconos + surrounding areas in PA, New Hope & Lambertville on the NJ/PA border, the Delaware Water Gap, the Cloisters, Palisades Park, the Appalachian Trail

All a short train or car ride away!

Several of the ones I mentioned above are *in* the city! Do you have an example of a city with more nature in it? People often cite SF but a lot of the nature they refer to is also often just near the city, not in it
