I’ve never understood multiple monitors You can only look at one at a time so if you get good enough with ⌘-tab it should basically be the same thing

rare bad take from you. the visual flash from cmd-based switch is much more disorienting than a redirect flicker of your eyes

This is kinda i.e. why aren't ALL windows cmd-tabable? Why do I have a seperate keyboard shortcut for intra-app windows vs inter-app windows? Having multiple monitors when I want docs, my build process, my ide, the media I am consuming in the bg, and a misc monitor for whatever else, i.e. chat etc having more than one monitor really makes it easier.

There are some instances in which can make a big difference. If you’re researching is quite good to have more monitors to don’t lose the flow. One for writing the paper, the other for researching, reading and curate, and bibliography management.
