One reason we've chosen to stay in Okinawa is that the people here adore children. 

When we go to play at the park, for example, families we've never met will smile at and play with my 3yo son.

When children are young, they unconsciously absorb the lessons of their environment. In my son's case, Okinawa is teaching him a love for humanity.

I wish there were more green around sometimes, but the kindness and safety we have is so precious.

Okinawa is Japan like Hawaii is the US.

They have the highest birthrate in Japan and a much more laid-back culture.

Certainly, the government wants more children, but I don't think you can teach a culture to adore children through light government incentives.

Isn't Japan having low birthrate to the point that government themselves push the citizen to have babies.

That's why they adore children so much.
