I'm building FC Marketplace. We're bringing the ethos of Facebook Marketplace to Farcaster. Wanna earn some extra cash? 1. Snap a pic of your item 2. Create a listing with our mini app (search for FC Marketplace) 3. Tag @fc-marketplace for help promoting 3. Share your listing in relevant channels to spread the word Wanna discover hot deals? Follow /fc-marketplace to stay in the loop! We'd love your feedback on how we can improve the product. Try it out and let me know :)

discovery is your hardest challenge, so do not start there. you will be buried in the feed and trying to push the action will cause a cold start problem. we tried this with @workshop and saw fine conversion but suffered on promotion. instead, i would focus on a killer listings page with Apple HID UI/UX and have as many feedback hooks into Farcaster ecosystem as possible. Bountycaster has a client now (and my signer/app key) that can write back and help me find my old casts/bounties to service. treat literally every listing as a cast hash/id. you need other people to surface your listings for you.

Look forward to seeing the output here, a few thoughts: - I think a mix of facebook marketplace + ebay is probably the right approach. I think the social graph and trust is going to be key and surfacing mutual connections some sort of rating system upon completion of transaction would really help - Maybe there is a way to leverage frames 1.91:1 view to show case image + content in feed to highlight the product and get in touch with the seller - I do think mini apps for discovery might also be something worth exploring in addition to listing look forward to seeing more!

Cool. Ebay will be a better reference than FBM here because user density is too low for in-person swaps, and mail will be primary fulfillment method for next while. Except in certain hub cities like NYC where you may have density to support in person swaps. Could focus on NYC for ex instead if that's your interest.

Build an internet-wide syndication system that finds all items humans are selling; then surface filters for us [and only us - this is the novelty] to find by geo, price, transaction type.
