dutch auction price decline for basenames was way too fast imo. builders be building. by the time many of us saw the announcement on twitter, many of our names were already squatted T_T

Yeah I was launching the SUNNYs and thought well it’s Dutch auction I’ll grab it tonight but nope.

not surprising tbh, I think dot base dot eth is more for next wave of adopters coming onchain and not wanting to fork $100 for ENS. E.g. perfect for new BasePaint artists

But how does a slower Dutch auction help that? Even with a slow auction, you still would have to pay more than the squatter.
