I scared a woman today and I feel really bad 😔

I was at a McDonald’s in Sao Paolo using the washroom, and I pushed the stall door open because I thought it was open. This woman screamed so loud, I could hear the fear in her voice. I think she thought she was about to get assaulted. 

Obviously I have accidentally opened stall doors before with people in them but I have never experienced a reaction like that. Really haunting to hear

Why don't american washroom stalls have the ability to lock them from inside. It always baffles me
