2. Not the same. We've semi learned that tokenization doesn't help decentralization but can help reduce transaction costs as long as the oracle is trusted. That's what tokenized RWA are about, lowering friction on financial ledgers via trusted 3rd parties. Far cry from original crypto ethos but still valuable.

I like this answer, thank you. I’d also add that cryptographically signed transactions and immutable logs reduce the regulatory burden of reporting. Which means that new entrants into the market can compete with incumbents on the basis of building technology that incumbents can’t allocate resources to.
