It seems that the over-arching theme at the moment is yield that's coming from securities (some type of real asset, broadly), not pure crypto yield. 

I think in general, the market dictates what investors flock to. In high uncertainty, high quality debt is how money is made. In stable times, it's equity bets.

Also different macro environment. Was hard for RWA to compete in terms of yield in a low interest rate environment. Holding t-bills is now a much more attractive option from a risk/return perspective for anyone who wants to hold their assets on-chain.

I’d also add that cryptographically signed transactions and immutable logs reduce the regulatory burden of reporting. Which means that new entrants into the market can compete with incumbents on the basis of building technology that incumbents can’t allocate resources to.

Who do you think is building appropriate solutions and companies on that “trusted third party” area?

We've semi learned that tokenization doesn't help decentralization but can help reduce transaction costs as long as the oracle is trusted. 

That's what tokenized RWA are about, lowering friction on financial ledgers via trusted 3rd parties. Far cry from original crypto ethos but still valuable.
