if you were to relearn math & physics from scratch, how would you do it? broad question, but really referencing to anything - books, courses, order of subjects, etc.

Okay found the math reference - Paul’s Online Math Notes are a godsend from the old internet for Algebra, Calc, and Diff EQ which will keep you busy for a long time and provide a great foundation for any other math you want to learn 🫡 https://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/

And finally… Use the fuck out of ChatGPT. Math and physics don’t change that much and have a LOT of written material out there about it. It’s a perfect task for LLMs to explain how it all works and dive deeper and deeper in concepts and questions 🫡🫡🫡

For a broad survey of practical physics - Giancoli is the book: https://www.amazon.com/Physics-Scientists-Engineers-Douglas-Giancoli/dp/0132431068/ref=mp_s_a_1_23

I would learn it with goals in mind. Learning difficult math and physics feels pointless when there’s no application you can foresee. I had to learn Calculus in school and adult life and career has convinced me that was pointless (for me).

I’ve gotten good at self-learning using the internet, now ChatGPT too, but would still probably bootstrap with an expert tutor or mentor

For math, Swokowski calculus with analytic geometry and its solution manual worked for me. For Physics, Resnick - Halliday book with solution manual was outstanding. I imagine there are newer more interactive resources but the contents and the problems in these books are great imho.
