you can't separate your account on each server, so one identity is shared across all, they have no strategy for monetization in a way that incentivizes guild admins to make it worthwhile (revshare?), the list goes on. It's why one of my side projects is a decentralized discord.

They have multi-account mode available. And they do have multi-server profiles in the nitro subscription. Where I can create separate profile catered to a given server. Is that insufficient?

Matrix is decentralised discord. And why should guild admins or server admins depend on revshare when they can monetize on top of discord.

Matrix has laughably bad encryption. The recent security alert demos how much of a clown show it is. Itβs also not decentralized. It is federated, but they are a long shot away from p2p. As for revshare, why not? Twitch is making creators a killing.
