America feels overheated Not only from an economic standpoint, but as a body politic It’s been relentless change since 2016 at a minimum, and the people are tired It may be a golden era for the country from a business climate perspective, but if that doesn’t translate to letting ordinary people rest, it’s a superficial win

Once again, Kejriwal seems to be playing the same game: creating a water crisis in Delhi to let tanker mafias cash in and stockpile funds for election purposes. 1. Manufacture a water shortage 2. Enable tanker mafias under the guise of emergency supply 3. Overcharge the public

DeepSeek’s name betrays what “AI” actually is — it’s not intelligence, it’s intelligent search A natural byproduct of big data is a lot of noise. The way you solve that is to use LLMs to get insights from that data Fundamentally still data science IMO, just with a sexier name

https://ericmigi.com/blog/why-were-bringing-pebble-back " No one makes a smartwatch with the core set of features I want: Always-on e-paper screen (it’s reflective rather than emissive. Sunlight readable. Glanceable. Not distracting to others like a bright wrist) Long battery life (one less thing to charge. It’s annoying to need extra cables when traveling) Simple and beautiful user experience around a core set of features I use regularly (telling time, notifications, music control, alarms, weather, calendar, sleep/step tracking) Buttons! (to play/pause/skip music on my phone without looking at the screen) Hackable (apparently you can’t even write your own watchfaces for Apple Watch? That is wild. There were >16k watchfaces on the Pebble appstore!)"

Kind of behind on the story, here, what did you all do to piss him off so bad? Is this fallout from the Barron coin or whatever? https://x.com/MartinShkreli/status/1883653155726278849

Caught a flick yesterday named "Leave the World Behind" — it was a dud. The plot? A family discovers that a bunch of sinister elites have ignited a civil war in the U.S. using cyber attacks and directed energy weapons. Later learned it was produced by Higher Ground, the Obamas' company.

I'm not a "the top is in" doomer but it would be pretty funny if the Farcaster marketing strategy pivoted to "make money on Farcaster" at the top

It's surprising how some folks think remote work started with COVID, when many were already working remotely before the pandemic hit.

Going to share a little update related to my security incident Monday. Going to keep it terse for now, because I still have work to do, to fully put my mind at ease, but a few things I wanted to get out there for others, and I now have secured danfinlay.com to a degree where I no longer feel threatened by some self righteous sysadmins.
