There is a lot of discussion on Farcaster of getting more people to use Farcaster. I think it’s obvious that you should just invite people to use it. This is how I started using it. You need to target people who actually respect the platform and would take an interest in the community. They should come from all different backgrounds, but also shouldn’t have giant egos. They should be down to earth people who just like to post, share information, and interact. There already seems to be lots of tech people and VCs so there’s not an obvious point in further saturating the platform with this type of individual. There is a big world out there with all diverse types of people looking for a home. I believe its possible to build a community wherever the infrastructure works.

It’s not as easy as inviting people in. I helped a heap of artists get set up in here and most of them have left because their casts were invisible. There are a few factors that led to this for each of them but I would also say you’ve had a very different experience to most.

Yes, very important right now is to invite people whose strong point is words in the English language. Warpcast's algo currently identifies image casts as spam and hides artists, limiting their reach to only their explicit followers.

This is news to me. So artists have a predetermined disadvantage but memes still get noticed? What am I missing?

I think if your casts are in their vast majority images, it doesn't matter if it's art or memes, you will be marked as spam and hid. Quoting someone else seems to be bad too, and artists casting in /quote-art have been heavily affected. Also if your replies are short and mostly tips it might play a factor, something that artists also do.

Yes we do. Sad to be penalised for supporting each other.
