How about we use multiple systems in combination to establish truth? Whether it be reputation, gambling, or democracy… all prove valid metrics to showcase trust for information. The most expensive today being, we don’t know which companies to trust.. There exists a need on the internet for a replacement of the State, an ethos that gives certificates which other DAOs choose to follow. A lightweight, higher level authority which a) sets the standards of DAO governance snd operation b) certifies other DAOs for following said principles @xh3b4sd.eth

When you squint hard enough, then trust and truth look pretty similar. I think we are overall on a good way in order to address all kinds of truth and trust issues. And every single use case may need a different set of tools or solutions. On the certification topic, the Superchain is one example that codifies their own onchain principles. And every chain in the Superchain has to follow those ideals. What we can objectively verify is already covered by smart contracts and will be enriched by more potent ZK capabilities. As far as humans are concerned we live in areas of many shades of gray. Truth may be inferior here in some cases if consensus is achieved to put a higher priority on trust. The DAO hack was such a situation that the social layer had to confront and solve. I think leaning into the gray areas and provide tools for trust where we have no tools for truth is the only way out. That is why I am building Uvio Information Markets, to show who is right and who is honest.
