started wondering what % of twitter indie hacker influencers' MRR comes from other indie hackers - many of the products I see cater to that scene.

i’d guess high, 20-50% only other founders care about your mmr, so if you use it for marketing, you will be inevitably selling to other founders (which is not necessarily bad)

good point re. marketing. I agree that it's not necessarily bad - but starts to feel zero-sum across the whole community if it's really as high as 50%.

i used to think this way but you can really extrapolate this to the whole economy apart form food, shelter, hygiene etc and get really pessimistic now i think as long as people pay for your product you probably create something valuable my current zero sum complaint is shitcoins haha
