yeah it's definitely not one fits all

for "big buttons" like "post" / "reply" / "delete" definitely ill leave on click

but reactions and non-final buttons feel much snappier

i somewhat disagree. there are times I press on something accidentally and the way I avoid the outcome is moving the pointer out of that area before release

Wow. Can’t believe this hasn’t been debated more until now.

“onPress is how the real world works” - this is a powerful argument!  If most physical devices work this way, the users are already used to it
