let's say the only requirement for supercast to have a mobile app and a free plan is $200k in the company bank account what's the best way to obtain the $200k, if: - i don't want to fundraise from VCs - i don't want to take loans - i don't want to launch a token i keep hearing about crypto projects getting more than this in grants but somehow it was never an option for supercast

also: - supercast is a wallet these days, can support any chain - it can support *your* chain

the best way would be through an accelerator program (YC, Alliance, Orange DAO) but that still falls in the VC bucket. highly unlikely to get $200K from a grant unless it's multiple grants (4 to 5). but challenge is each grant will want you to build on their platform so not that feasible.

The best way to obtain $200k is to make $200k. Ignore all the other crypto projects getting funding bc grants do not equal sustainable revenue and your goal is to build a sustainable business. Doing some napkin math: Your value proposition is that super users of wc use supercast. What size does wc need to be for you to acquire those users? And what rate is supercaster growing at in terms of users and $ per month? Work backwards from that to see if the timeline you want for the app and free plan is reasonable. If the rate you’re growing at gives you $200k yearly, great. If not, figure out why. You got this

i think you could raise $200k from multiple grant sources + crowdfunding the full amount it's a lot to ask for from a single source but $50k a pop is a bit more palatable doable with some strings attached, no strings attached will be very hard imo

How about we cobuild with FBI labs for a small fee and split revenue for a certain time period. No equity nonsense. Much less upfront costs. Can even help figure grants to cover the upfront dev costs.

Grants : You can look at public / local grants in Poland maybe ? (we do have some in France) You can also look at EU grants. You can also look at building things on exotic blockchains. Fundraise : Why not ?

maybe $200k is not the best goal to reach and it might be worthy attracting more KOLs to speak more about supercast, bring in more users and subscriptions up to the point where you can afford a mobile dev? or maybe some kind of referral rev. sharing etc. how many months away you think you are to a bare minimum mobile MVP to start onboarding more users to increase recurring revenue?

Allow people to pay for a special donor flair. Gives you no ranking benefits, just a styling difference on e.g. the username or avatar Make the flair an NFT with a donation ID number if it doesn’t cross your “don’t want to launch a token” boundary

fundraise from angels instead of VCs. you need 20-40 individuals (prolly from whales/founders within crypto) to give you $5-10k each. in exchange you give them ... what? you don't wanna sell equity or debt or tokens, and im guessing not your users' attention or data. maybe sell status? other promises about the future?
