Farcaster can contribute to this and I agree with you, but there are already quite large communities/fans of individual projects. On a different note, can you point out ardent fans of some other topic?

Philosophically, no. 

Crypto has had 15 years since the white paper to create a self sufficient and self contained non predatory culture. It hasn’t happened yet. 

If it can’t do it with Farcaster, it can’t do it at all.
