I've been thinking about $NOUNS quite a bit recently too. You could do an airdrop to every existing noun and then it's also sold with each Noun at auction. It gets interesting if there is some simple redemption mechanic where X $NOUN is always redeemable for 1 Noun. Mints & Tools charge in $NOUN. Maybe with L2.

Create NounsChain as an L2 specifically for memes with $nouns as it’s native token. $nouns are eared/distributed for governance participation

In order to attract high level artists and collaborators we need to have a team in place to properly communicate the intent, deliverables and value of engaging with nouns. Noun as currency at the current auction price is not going to work It is easy to see the downward price from 80 to 8 eth so that is not a good look

not a rev idea but an alt take on the $noun: enable 1 noun to become 100 nounlets, never redeemable back to 1 noun for real sense of permanency (enables nounlets to become real identity) + allow nounlet vote to be aggregated just like candidates can aggregate signatures to go onchain.
