I've been thinking about $NOUNS quite a bit recently too. You could do an airdrop to every existing noun and then it's also sold with each Noun at auction.

It gets interesting if there is some simple redemption mechanic where X $NOUN is always redeemable for 1 Noun.

Mints & Tools charge in $NOUN. Maybe with L2.

that's a cool idea. 

I like that it could become a new currency to pay with in proposals too. 

Being redeemable for a Noun makes it work in my mind because then it's something you can easily value, so makes it worth earning.

I was thinking that the redemption could also maybe be a VRGDA. We target one redemption per day but price in NOUNs goes up if accelerating. Treasury has a lot of Nouns! 

Not sure re giving at each auction. 

Only thing I worry about is making Nouns less legible/more confusing as a whole
