@bountybot 50 USDC for examples of smart contract-based donation models using token yield. See thread for discussion context The yield must be donated via a smart contract. Crypto donations that do not use a smart contract (e.g. direct donations to specific addresses) will NOT qualify. Likewise, crypto donations via a smart contract that use the principal and not the yield will NOT qualify. Yield must be donated. stETH and stablecoin examples preferred. EVM-based examples preferred. 10 USDC each to the five most relevant examples. If there are fewer than five relevant examples, the 50 USDC will be split evenly among them. Duplicate answers will not be relevant and will be first come, first served.

One more criteria for bot mitigation: Your example must include a specific link to the donation model. A general reference without a link does NOT qualify. A smart contract address, GitHub repo, or blog post link for the donation model is sufficient to qualify.

Endaoment does this, Nouns just isn’t a charitable org in the legal sense to be a recipient of their funds also worth noting the word “donation” carries legal weight in the US and any org that isn’t a 501c3 charity should not use the word donation https://docs.endaoment.org/donors/about/about-investment-portfolios

Isn't https://pooltogether.com/ doing that, just for personal gains? Everyone deposits tokens, someone wins the yield of it all

A project that I made is maybe in a grey area of qualifying How it works: 1. Token projects that have a fee-on-transfer mark my dex as fee-exempt 2. Token project launches a new tax structure on my dex (at a lower rate than uniswap to incentivize users) 3. Users are shown their savings and are encouraged to donate a portion of their savings (donate to charity with the money you just saved) 4. Token projects take their smaller fee in ETH, not their token to reduce sells on their charts Everybody wins: - Projects dont sell as much of their token - Users get cheaper fees - Charities get donations site: pawswap.exchange base: https://basescan.org/address/0x768f16B7f4bb06A6fe0f720b551c1D63c0253133 eth: https://etherscan.io/address/0x7df9DfD9168aE53DC5141110A0b476A053F70eD1 I understand if it doesnt qualify but figured I'd send it out there!

You should check https://clr.fund/ It's actually a contract Based donation platform that distributes token yields to various charities and also to non-profit organizations. It's built on Transparency and community governance; works like a DAO and rhymes well with Nouns

Here are a few examples of smart contract-based donation models using token yield: 1. Gitcoin Grants Rounds - Gitcoin Grants is a platform that utilizes quadratic funding to distribute donations to projects in the Ethereum ecosystem. Donors contribute DAI or other ERC-20 tokens, and the yield generated from these contributions is donated to supported projects. Link: https://gitcoin.co/grants/

I’d still go with idle finance, your requirements are becoming unclear but i guess it qualifies. Don’t know if you can see this but check it out @will For idle finance , users deposit stablecoins into Idle Finance, optimizing yield by allocating funds across multiple lending platforms. The yield generated by the deposited stablecoins, tracked through IdleTokens, is periodically donated to a specified charity via a smart contract. https://idle.finance/

Compound's Governance-Based Donation uses a mechanism where as Compound's governance token (COMP) holders can propose and vote on initiatives to allocate a portion of the protocol's revenue (generated from interest on loans) to charitable causes. Some benefits are that it’s Community-driven, Donations are decided by the token holders themselves and it’s also has a Transparent voting system whereas the decision-making process is publicly visible on-chain. Here’s a blog post for more https://medium.com/compound-finance/building-a-governance-interface-474fc271588c

I know of one The automated yield farming with a donor-advised fund (DAF) model involves users depositing tokens such as stETH or USDC into a smart contract that allocates funds to various yield farming strategies across protocols like Compound and Yearn. The smart contract periodically harvests the generated yield and automatically donates it to a designated charity or DAF.
