Had an amazing lunch in a Syrian restaurant, food was so rich in textures and combinations of flavours. Then on the drive home saw an advert for burger king. This made me think that US empire collapse will actually be net benefit for humanity and give room for authentic civilisations to flourish. Diversity just like markets always win. At this stage US empire does feel like one giant too big to fail psyop. Anyhow wish transition won’t be too turbulent, when Soviet Union collapsed it was nasty and we still have civil wars happening to this day

US culture should be recognised as: a: valid coherent culture just like Syrian b: uniquely immature.. 200 years ago USA was independent and its people had no culture; far less cultural context to guide its later development The fact that indie restaurants have better food than KFC is no indictment on Pax Americana

i'd rather live in an empire planet run by US. if anyone wanna come hither and taste the real Middle Eastern cuisine, I am always open to legal passport swaps, which i think blockchain will solve. Some people think that non-US people are such self aware that everyone is a mentat. Also, that which is Syrian is prolly Mesapotamian since starting from SE Türkiye down to the tip of the Levant, the cuisine is 99.69% the same and is almost only of "fried" and starchy variety.

imho completely missed my point. Just chatting about cycles and market forces, cuisine was just a thought trigger.. I would any day choose some sort of loose confederacy of independent city states than a single empire running a whole world. Also in system you rather live in, there would never be room for crypto ;)

US started out as a confederation and had to centralise to be competitive
