thought my adhd might be a lie after a year on meds turns out unmedicated life is still pure suffering set 3 rules going in: - eat 1 clean meal a day - perform a wake-up routine (cold water splash, stretch, 10+ min walk) - no screens 1hr before bed days 1–4 - major withdrawals - slept constantly - barely functioning - managed meals + routine — but barely - house chores (only small wins) days 5–6 - braindead - permanent brain fog - slept less, still tired - 0 agency - sugar + gaming cravings hit hard - creatine maybe helped a bit — unclear if placebo day 7 - hit the wall - gave in post-breakfast - youtube shorts + minecraft all day - passive consumption was the only time i felt semi-alive conclusion - unmedicated me atm = floating through life with cravings - intentional dopamine is hard when brain afk - gratitude, movement, gaming all too much effort - not ready to function unmedicated yet - will try 21 days another time

i missed fc the most tho — i wanted to but was too tired to scroll or interact it felt like the equivalent of getting a text that you’d respond to later but then never get round to (and then feel guilty about because you took to long to reply)

Have you thought about playing around in the nootropics arena? Depending on your biochemistry you could come up with a stack that is healthy for you and picks up the slack in areas where you lose focus without making you feel like a different person.

I feel your pain I’ve been unmediated for some time, the only thing that keeps me from being completely and utterly useless is the fact my wife doesn’t work so I’m the bread winner so gotta pay bills feed the furrrr children, the human child who is now 13 and always hungry. Work is well complete chaos so my ADHD brain and OCD Brain really come I handy because I’m the Powder coat lead for the prepping and powder coating area plus the warehouse where the finished product goes out so it helps me that everything is so crazy and chaotic so I used that to my benefit. Hope you can find a way to keep some peace in your adhd world
