The announcement thing is definitely a blessing and a curse. Smaller channels will further be punished as people leave these channels en masse when they're getting notifications for announcements too frequently.

A lot of people are complaining about the changes, mostly because they can't cast in channels they used to. I think the changes are good and it is just a matter of a week or two before all is running smoothly again.
