Much more than that, I think it's US propaganda that has done it. Through Fox yes but also hundreds of other media channels and mechanisms. And another layer behind the US propaganda machine is the Oligarchs, the top of the ruling class. There's a reason many people seem to have forgotten how to be anti-fascist.

News is completely manipulated. I experienced things in my life that I later came across on the news, and they were completely different stories. It was very strange when I was there. Especially in the Middle East, I never saw a TV station streaming the real things happening ... I dont get surprised when i know a few know what is going on

Majorly sad! My parents don't watch Fox infotainment. But so many do and you can tell right away that they suffer from brain rot. I still do not understand how so many can watch it. But Roger Ailes was a genius at manipulation who chose the dark side. Now it's about profiting from poison.

There are many journalists out there doing solid work with integrity. That's not the issue, the issue is that 24/7 network news are for-profit entities, that make money by keeping everyone watching. So everything becomes breaking news and the presentation of that news throws the viewers into a constant cycle of crisis. People have become addicted to the dopamine of breaking news cycles. The viewers think they are informed citizens when they are being milked for their attention on a corporate attention farm.
