(you got to bear this non stop parenting casts from me for a few months) I am finding it hard to soothe the baby to sleep after a feed. He is well fed - but still gets fussy - wanting something more. Holding him on my chest or shoulder and gently rocking him isn’t soothing him like it used to the first couple of weeks. Any tips/techniques that could help me here? Currently trying some white noise sounds, and trying to keep it calm and not too much light. Used a pacifier a couple of times - but hesitating using it frequently.

are you burping him after feeding? i can try to dig up a video later but the best technique we found was having them “sit” on one of your legs and then moving the top half of body (hands under armpits) around in a kind of 360 motion

peak fussiness is about 6-8w after birth and it’s related directly to the development of their GI tract. lots of burping after feeds and farting between feeds that you need to help with until they are developed enough to burp and fart on their own if they are fussy in the first 2mo and it isn’t food or sleep, it is probably gas also we found my wife had to give up certain foods during this period bc it led to extra baby gassiness that was ruining night time sleep (just as a thing to keep an eye out for if you have a lot of hard to explain night time fussiness)
