what would it take to actually migrate or programmatically copy the material out of https://ethereum-magicians.org/ into Farcaster? how do we get conversations about the future of ethereum happening _here_, in the true open, with persistent and portable identity/reputation attached? cc @dwr.eth @tim

Have discussed with a few folks but I don’t think there’s much interest on their end.

@chaskin.eth @trent would love to better understand the EF’s reasoning here, who can I speak to / where can I learn more?

I actually asked @tim that exact question about a month ago and he said something along the lines of social media should be used for comms and hopefully farcaster ends up replacing twitter but we shouldn't rely on social media for long form discussion

hmm.. that makes complete sense for *warpcast*, but I feel like *farcaster*, perhaps with a forum-like client (which, afaik, shouldn't be hard to build.. famous last words), should be flexible enough to handle long form discussion?

That makes sense to me, but at the same time if you're building a client where importing your followers doesn’t apply, is there really a significant benefit to building it on the farcaster protocol?

If someone actually proposed to build a good version of this, especially one where we don’t lose the data on EthMag, I’m happy to give them a grant. “Good EthMag <> Farcaster integration” has been on my TODO for a long time 😅
