I actually think we don't have enough positivity on here. There's a lot of Farcaster toxic positivity, maybe we have enough of that, but there isn't a ton of *crypto* optimism honestly

"Crypto optimism" sounds weird though -- it's like "semiconductor optimism". Yes, I'm optimistic about semi, but the stronger signal is using a smartphone or LLM tools I think we break through when there are crypto users who don't wear sentiment about the rails on their sleeves

True, but there is a lot of "crypto pessimism" which in theory should be just as weird? but if its not then I imagine the other side is warranted also

optimism is expressed through usage you can't express pessimism through usage, so you have to signal with words

optimism through usage is the best, but it's also a coincident indicator i don't think crypto lacks optimism per se, but i do think we lack *definite* optimism. we need more jobsian narrators "computers are a bicycle for the mind" "every college student will use a computer to write essays[, and will think 'wasn't it always like this?'" - he painted this picture in 1983! https://warpcast.com/w/0xe41da1a4

Yeah the space lacks great product people because you could get by for ten years on sheer mania The game has changed and those who shift from indefinite to definite optimism will lead us forward
