Why is the aesthetic of gyms, even the good ones, always so lifeless? Always black and grey and white everywhere. I want fans blowing air in my face at 12 km/h and a simulation of running along a forest path in a magical fantasy world .... or at least some plants.

gym bros and bro-ettes probably don’t think about aesthetics much. also, easier to clean

yeah but you could like at least put up walls with a picture of trees on them, one-time cost and even that alone would make me enjoy them significantly more

Fight the system. Bring your own plants with you to the gym and leave them when you depart.

I used to go to a private gym that was like this guy’s garage, had cool vintage posters everywhere. It did make it more fun

no matter what picture you choose, there will be 99 other people that say it’s dumb and want a different picture
