Had an experience recently where one interface for a dapp did not work, and I was able to extract funds by switching to a different interface, and if even that had failed there were other workarounds like monkeying around with etherscan's "write contract" feature. Decentralization and openness are amazing.

though i knew it was technically possible, i didn't have that visceral aha! moment until experiencing it first hand. recently contributed to a fabric campaign using stelo explore something i think about often: what happens to the programs we built if our company goes bankrupt? the gold standard: nothing protocols ftw

This to me sounds like a purist sense of amazement. Where because you can track the lineage of abstractions, your ability to solve a problem via many means is fun. Future users will not find this as amazing, nor will know of other possibilities. The tourist.

This is the literal other side of the sword of people who get their funds irretrievably bricked or stolen. Wish we were promoting these positive stories more!

Permissionless frontends for the win! 🙌 Have a look at @blockhead’s Explorer page which can generate UIs for smart contracts with ABIs verified on Etherscan or Sourcify. https://blockhead.info/explorer/ethereum/address/0x1F98431c8aD98523631AE4a59f267346ea31F984

@survey have you ever had to use Etherscan’s Write Contract feature due to a broken interface?

Had a similar experience when trying to retrieve ETH from an old SAFE contract, the old interface was sunsetted and the new one was not supporting it. In my case, thankfully Infura was hosting an old version of the interface so that helped, but also could have interacted with the contract directly too.
