I'm really proud that ethereum does not have any culture of trying to prevent people from speaking their minds, even when they have very negative feelings toward major things in the protocol or ecosystem. Some wave the ideal of "open discourse" as a flag, some take it seriously.

Your personal role in making it happen is underrated. I recently described you as a BDFL 2.0 in a group where people were being critical of you for some of your donations. You’ve mostly managed to mostly avoid the pitfalls of what I call a charismatic epistemology. Kudos https://x.com/vgr/status/1421268674313220102

I strongly agree with this approach. As a leader, I have always solicited honest feedback. You like to hear positive feedback, but neutral or negative feedback really helps you understand where others may see opportunities for improvement.

Exactly what I was thinking yesterday - even if Peter was right on every point, at the very least be was able to speak up about it from within the system and not get crucified, but appreciated.

Absolutely agree! Ethereum's commitment to open discourse is one of its greatest strengths. Embracing diverse opinions, even when critical, fosters innovation and growth. It's a testament to the community's maturity and dedication to building a better ecosystem for all.

I see most people generally singing the same song, sure there is some kind of open discourse, but my perspective is that it is pretty much mild.

Maximalism not encouraging or examining feedback is one of the reasons Luna failed because we've seen people talking about flaws behind UST but rather than taking an effective approach they are seen as fudder/hater Feedback is very important

Well said & in this spirit, would u look into the real @Pepecoins est 2016 being front-run by a fake pepe on Ethereum. This not only undermines trust but also threatens the integrity of the whole space. Addressing such challenges head-on is vital for the space. Your support could make a significant difference.
