Tons to say here, but one of the first aspects that comes to mind is time preference. Before kids I was very focused on the next 1-3 years. Having our first really shifted me to thinking about the next 10-20. Makes many decisions much easier, makes you more patient, it’s a good change.

IMO one of the most bullish parts of a decentralized social network system is that I’m absolutely fucking sick of feeling like I have to post the same idea 10 different places. You should be able to have one place you publish something like a Cast or SFV that people can subscribe to from whatever platform they prefer. Sharing your work has gotten too fragmented. I miss the early blogging days.

Someone should make a smart contract based commitments app with polymarket style betting attached to it. E.g I commit to publish sci-fi novel by EOY. Elect @dawufi as the “oracle”. Then anyone who wants to bet Y/N on it happening can do so. Silly, yes, but could be fun.

I’m doing more normie interviews (e.g. ABC, Bloomberg, etc.) now and I’m trying to get non-crypto people excited about crypto apps they might be using in the next 2-5 years. Obvious ones I use are stablecoins, NFTs for tickets, opening up gaming economies. But what are some others I should be highlighting?

The TON Ecosystem. You can’t use Telegram’s inbuilt wallet from the US, but basically TON has dAPPs you can use from within Telegram. (mini-apps) More normie friendly than the usual CEX > Bridge > Chain > dApp route Just search for the app as if you were searching for a chat Doesn’t feel like crypto, but is.

Yeah, so far the channels in farcaster work better than the algorithm in twitter. But farcaster isn’t niched down enough for most altcoin discussions. Can’t believe no one has written about Pendle here yet, for example, when it is all over CT timelines. It’s early here and I honestly prefer it.

Actually it’s the same for me. It’s way more liberating posting simpler (stupider) stuff here about weight training or something. Feels to me like my first days on Twitter. Prefer the neighborhood vibes here. Doesn’t feel like I am playing to an algo.

L2s are one of the most over-crowded trades. The top ones are extremely overvalued. 1) Chains look the “worst” when they have little usage because the lack of users is so glaringly visible. 2) Chains require a “neighborhood” of dAPPs to feel good to even “feel good” to use. Most don’t have this.
