Twitter infrastructure seems to be melting down due to too many critical people being laid off 😬

Not at twitter scale. Lots of finely tuned fragile systems that require a lot of on-call tlc and complex tooling that needs bills paid on time.

honest q, are most of these infra systems not autonomous? What are some things that would require manual oversight each day?

I’ve been locked out of my twitter for 8 days now after they removed my email on it, support normally sucks but it’s never this bad

also heard that api team was gutted which i found a bit baffling
