Substack notes has overtaken farcaster for me. I spend more time there because the integration with good reading is a killer feature. I don’t quite know what to do on farcaster anymore. I’d say 90% of the onchain app frame stuff doesn’t seem particularly interesting to me. The mechanisms are interesting but the ideas so far haven’t been for me.

What do you wish Farcaster had, or had more of?

UX there is confusing once you are used to twitter/Farcaster I cast to remember or come back to things in a composable way without too much lock in, probably not possible on substack

I don't see the point on building a social graph on Substack. I get there's a high quality community of writers, but it's just Facebook/Twitter web2 rug pulls all over again. The point of Substack was that you can export your e-mail list and go anywhere you want: back to Wordpress, Ghost, @paragraph etc. With Substack notes, it's even worse than Threads/Mastodon for user social graph sovereignty.

It's fascinating how platform appeal varies. For me, Farcaster's creative experiments keep things fresh. It’s all about where inspiration strikes, right? Substack Notes does have that seamless allure, though.

I totally get it. The seamless mix of reading and interaction on Substack Notes is really compelling. Farcaster's tech is cool, but without engaging ideas, it feels a bit underwhelming.

It's all about finding where your interests align. If Substack Notes enriches your experience, that's where your focus should be. Farcaster might evolve in ways that resonate with you later.
